“The VIP captain seats they did for my four Hiace Grand Cabins are absolutely world-class. Clients constantly ask who did the interior.”
The Name Reflects Our Work
An empty van is a promise. At 64 Old Enterprise Road, Industrial Area, frames are welded, foam is poured and covers are cut and stitched — until the promise is kept.
↳ Watch the BuildOur name, Modern Cushions, reflects a simple commitment: everything below the leather is ours too — frame, springs, foam — built in the same workshop.
Empty in.
Finished out.
02 — Finished Out
The workshop at 64 Old Enterprise Road handles the whole build — frames, foam and finishing — so your vehicle enters empty and drives out finished, typically in 3 to 10 days.
Anatomy of a Modern seat. One VIP captain seat, taken apart — everything below the cover is ours too: frame, springs, foam, built in the same workshop.

Questions
Before you ask.
How long does a full van interior take?
A standard PSV build takes 3–5 working days. VIP and bespoke builds with custom fabrication take 7–10 days. Fleet orders of 5+ vehicles get a dedicated production schedule.
Are your materials NTSA and PSV compliant?
Yes. Foam densities, seat frames and upholstery in PSV builds meet NTSA KS 372 requirements, and we provide a compliance certificate on request.
Do I need to leave the vehicle with you?
Yes — the vehicle stays at 64 Old Enterprise Road for the build. Early drop-off from 7:30 AM, collection up to 6 PM, Monday to Saturday.
Can you work around airbag-equipped seats?
Yes. Our technicians are trained on side-impact airbag systems. We use airbag-safe foam and never modify or obstruct SRS components.
What payment methods do you accept?
M-Pesa, bank transfer (Equity & KCB), and LPOs for verified corporates and SACCOs. A 40% deposit confirms your build slot.
Is there a warranty?
12 months on workmanship — stitching, foam compression, frame integrity — and 24 months on material defects.
Only vans?
Vans are the heartland, but we build for buses, saloons, SUVs, boats — even stadium dugouts. If it has seats, we can upholster it.
